I knew it.  I knew he was going to fuck us.

He left yesterday, just took off walking since I was driving his car to work.  He's back now, getting his stuff.  He is now refusing to fork over any money for bills he helped drive up, and he said that if he gets his disability, he's not giving us anything. (i.e., money he said he give us to help fix up the house.  kitchen and bathroom tiles, windows and siding...that kind of thing.  Oh yeah, and money to get pipes fixed.)
I'm extraordinarily pissed at the moment.  I'm sure I'll be back in my mind at some later point.  Until then, leave a message.

According to him, mom only married him for his money.
