May. 19th, 2008 02:09 pmYeah, I haven't been around in a while. Haven't been reading any fic, mostly cause I had been printing it out to read at work....until I ran the printer out of ink. Oops.
I finally got caught up this weekend on most of the shows I watch. Watching two hours of Supernatural back to back was pretty cool. The season finale left something to be desired.....my aunt had said that she cried, and after watching it I've come to the decision that there just wasn't enough angst. Perhaps if there had been more angst, I would have felt compelled to at least get the sniffles.
I am mightily upset with CBS for canceling Moonlight. They are making the same mistake that FOX did when they canceled Firefly. Take some of that reality tv crap off the air instead. (perhaps I should change the title of this to Joss owns my soul.)
After having bouts of indecisiveness regarding the upcoming SPN con....I finally decided to go. Not for the whole weekend, unfortunately, but maybe for one day. The day that the boys will be there, simply because I bit the bullet and bought the J2 photo op for the express purpose of dragging my aunt to this con. Even if it's only for a day. I would like to see her enjoy herself. And maybe spoil her some more. (and so help me, if they get JDM or Jim Beaver, or anyone else I'd like to see on that Saturday, I will so be skipping my cousins' wedding! Well, maybe not, but it's a happy thought.)
I like spoiling people when I can. ^_^
Thoughts on other season finales:
I loved seeing Corin Nemec on Ghost Whisperer. I haven't seen him since the last time he was on Stargate SG-1. I didn't like the long hair though. After the way S3 ended, I'm looking forward to S4. Speaking of which, does anyone remember the show that used to come on after Ghost Whisperer? I mean before Moonlight. I think it was something that got canceled, but I'll be damned if I can remember what it was.
Truth be told, the season finale of CSI (Vegas) was more, not so much upsetting or shocking as something else I can't put a name to, than SPN's finale. Even though I knew what was coming in both cases. I knew that "For Gedda" was going to end like that, but it didn't stun me any less. Yep, stun was the word I was looking for.
Moonlight and Criminal Minds....haven't watched those finales yet.
I picked up some new tshirts yesterday. They aren't much, but at least I can replace the ones that are about to fall apart anyway. One of them is a Happy Bunny shirt. I'd have to look again, but I think it says "me pretending to listen should be enough for you." :-D
That nifty little rebate check is coming in handy. It'll probably be buying me my passport as well.
Okay, enough babble. I have to get ready for work. Damn, I need another vacation.
