We had a big ass storm system come through here yesterday.  I can't confirm it, but I think some tornadoes came pretty damn close.  Just down the road from my work, a barn roof was ripped off, an irrigation thingy was tipped over, trees were uprooted, etc.  It could have been the straight line winds, but I don't know.  There were a few confirmed touchdowns, one of which was no more than 6 miles from where I work.
And from what I'm seeing in the paper, the Basilica of the Sacred Heart at Notre Dame was damaged.

What was kinda cool was watching the storm come.  If you've ever seen footage of sandstorms, then you know what the storm coming at us looked like.  We're all standing in the front part of the office watching this massive wall of dust and dirt (from the fields, I imagine) coming at us.  Once it got there and enveloped the building, we couldn't even see across the street!

And lots more work bullshit, but I'm not going to go into it.  Suffice it to say, my stupidvisor needs to step up and take responsibility instead of blaming everyone else.

*after looking at local news websites*
Yeah, it produced a tornado less than a mile from my work.
Considering that the front half of our building is nothing but windows, I'd say that we got very lucky that something didn't come through them.
I'm going to try and get some pictures if I can.*

*this is all pulled from my blog at Xanga.
