Thinking about pairings...
Oct. 17th, 2006 06:13 amI was pondering an email from a week or so ago, (which I have yet to reply to, since I started getting long-winded about Draco, and then got side tracked by thoughts of Lucius. ahem. the reply ended up getting scrapped for the time being.) and I got curious about something.
This doesn't just apply to only the HP fandom, but I was wondering:
Do you actually have to like the pairing you're writing? By that I mean, is it a necessary thing?
Just kind of letting my thoughts roam free.
If I typed in everything that came to mind, it would be confusing. But right now two thoughts are just kind of sticking in there.
1) CSI slash. Greg with anybody, but for some reason, I think I'd like to find Nick/Warrick. I adore Greg's geekiness, but Nick and Warrick are just guh for me.
2) Has anyone ever written any Jaws slash? The thought intrigues me. Quint/Hooper struck me, and then I thought about it, and realized that it might be kind of icky. Chief Brody/Hooper....now that could probably be done. And it might be really interesting, considering the back story that is in canon, but was not included in the movie. Hmmm....
