Jun. 25th, 2006 03:05 pmI think I may have managed to get out of going to the family reunion. I can only hope. The downside is that if I don't go, not only have I managed to piss off my dad and brothers, but they will likely stop here to find out why I didn't go. And they will probably have the she-cow that my dad is possibly dating. The woman (if she can be called that) makes me cringe everytime that she opens her mouth.
Not to mention the fact that she doesn't seem to think anything is wrong with taking her dentures out and laying them on the table, next to uneaten food and in plain view of everyone else.
{Edit: Just had a phone call. I am not getting out of going to the reunion. Fuck me sideways! Damn and double damn!}
That unfortunate problem aside, the rest of the weekend was enjoyable. I had movie night with
ladyredtemper, and she made me (well, she didn't have to twist my arm) watch Evita. Not bad. Not bad at all. I think the next movie night just might be spent watching either The Phantom of the Opera or Chicago. We've both seen the latter multiple times, but she has never watched Phantom. I need to rectify that. I'm also trying to get her to watch Labyrinth, Interview the the Vampire, and Bram Stoker's Dracula. And she is going to try and get me to watch Casablanca.
She also loaned me the platinum edition DVD of Aladdin.
Which I ended up watching with my mother last night. I kept getting repeated elbow jabs to the ribs since I kept singing along and repeating lines of dialogue. *snickers* What can I say? I've always loved that movie.
