Found this on the Xanga of one of the people I'm subbed to on there. It's particularly apt, since my boss has been criticizing me for the last two weeks, telling me it won't hurt me to at least pretend to be cheerful. So what if I have more than a few sharp edges? He gets this confused look on his face when I tell him that I refuse to change anything about myself just to satisfy someone else. I simply won't do it, unless I actually want to. Then that's a different matter.
I'm in the mood to listen to some really pissed off songs. Thankfully I own quite a few of those. Sometimes it helps to listen to them at high volumes...kind of helps to dispell most of a bad mood. And if I want to stay pissed off, I just listen to fluffy crap like the stuff they play on one of the local radio stations. Lots of RL crap contributing to my stress levels. I've been told that it's supposed to be a good year for everyone, so let's just hope that it's true. And that it turns good very very soon.
Got my drivers liscense renewed finally. I like the picture on my old one better. At least then I was able to get away with lying a little about my weight. As it turns out, I lied about it today anyway, completely unintentionally. I ended up losing another pound. Must be all the water I've been drinking. However...the girl scout cookies might be my downfall. O_o
I am reading a very good book though. It's called the Devil's Teeth, and it's about the white sharks in the Farallon Islands, as well as about the islands themselves. It's very interesting, and I'm marking lots of pages with interesting things on them. The one highlight of my month!
